Mulga Post 'N' Rail Fences®
An Australian Innovation
An Echo Of The Past

Mulga Products (Australia) now offers you three choices of feature fencing styles that can be mixed and matched, in several different colours.
  • the original Mulga Post ‘N’ Rail Fence®
  • the Mulga Estate Post ‘N’ Rail Fence™
  • and the Gawler Stack Stone Pillar ‘N’ Rail Fence™

Traditional weathered Mulga Post 'N' Rail Fences®. Pre-cast in durable concrete. A unique moulding process captures the natural beauty of weathered Australian hardwood with all its grain, colour and character. The classic, traditional slip rail Australian fence is now authentically reproduced in a more durable form. This slice of our heritage will blend equally well with both native and cottage gardens. The ultimate finish to any landscape design.

The Mulga Estate Post 'N' Rail Fence™ has been added to the range of fencing products. A newer looking timber grained American ranch style post and rail fence without the gnarled weathered look of the original Mulga Post ‘N’ Rail Fence. Available in square posts with either a curved or a pointed top and square edged rails that are butt jointed inside the posts.

The rails for both the Mulga Estate Post ‘N’ Rail Fence™ and the original Mulga Post ‘N’ Rail Fence® systems can be used in conjunction with the Gawler Stack Stone Pillar™ system to create a unique front fence, entrance way or garden focal point that will suit your requirements.

The threat of bushfires, rotting timber and termite invasion are now a thing of the past. These problems have been overcome with the durability of reinforced concrete, uniquely disguised as wood in the Mulga Post ‘N’ Rail Fencing systems.

A Mulga Post 'N' Rail Fence® becomes a part of the natural environment and gives a permanence previously unattainable.

The original Mulga Post 'N' Rail Fence®, the Mulga Estate Post ‘N’ Rail Fence™ and the Gawler Stack Stone Pillar ‘N’ Rail Fence are:

  • absolutely maintenance free
  • kind to the environment - no trees are harvested to produce it
  • can be erected by experienced installers or you can do-it-yourself
  • available in single, double or triple rail
  • provision for attaching electric fencing if required
  • hand cast for a unique (one off) individual finish for each item
  • galvanised reinforced concrete

Mulga 850mm High Fence, Strathalbyn

The Post ‘N’ Rail Fence®

Electric fences are common as mud,
And no use at all if the battery’s a dud.
If you needed a fence that was not to fail,
You couldn’t improve on the old post and rail.
Nowadays on our farms when fencing is done,
Star posts and steel droppers are given a run.
This fence may be fine, but in character pale
Compared with the look of the old post and rail.
A modern day fence with high tensile wire
Is not one that people will stop and admire;
But many a tourist in sun, rain or hail,
Stops and takes snaps of the old post and rail.
Ringlock and weldmesh, cyclone and net,
Are some of the fences I’ve met.
But none have the charm, on hilltop or dale,
Like the fence now uncommon, the old post and rail.
